Our Fees

In addition to our costs there may be other expenses incurred in progressing your transaction called disbursements which are paid to Third Parties. For instance the Court of Protection (COP), Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) or the Land Registry, and Identify Verification Fees (vf) see below.

If you are on low income or receiving certain means tested benefits you may be exempt from having to pay certain Court fees or eligible to fees reduction which means you may not have to pay the full Court fee. 

Our fees for dealing with the following areas of work are:

Wills

We can draft your will from just £150 + VAT for a single will and £275 + VAT for a double or mirror will.

Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) 

There are two types of power of attorney: 

1. Property and Financial Affairs (P&F)
2. Health and Welfare (H&W)

Application to remove an Attorney at Office of the Public Guardian
£75 + VAT
+ ID Verification Fee per Attorney

Application to revoke a lasting power of attorney which is registered with Office of the Public Guardian
£100 + VAT

Court of Protection 

Application to appoint a Deputy including obtaining an Order 

From £850 + VAT 

+ ID Verification Fees for the DONOR and each of the proposed DEPUTIES 

+ £385 Court of Protection application fee 

+ Deputy Surety Bond (set by the Court of Protection approx. £250)

+ approx. £250 – £300 medical examination fee.

Double the above fees if a Court of Protection Order is required for BOTH property and affairs AND health and welfare.

Probate and Administration of Estates

Grant Only WITH a Will
From £500 + VAT
+ ID verification for each executor

Grant Only NO Will
From £500 + VAT
+ ID verification for each Administrator
+ £5 oath fee for each Administrator

Administration of Estate

Our fees are calculated on a time costs basis, hourly rate from £225 + VAT. We take into account the gross value of the estate when providing our quote. If the estate is complex requiring Long Form Estate return to the HMRC we may make an additional charge by way of an uplift to our quoted fees for care and conduct not exceeding 2% of the gross value of the estate.

Our minimum fees for administration of an estate including obtaining a grant BUT excluding any conveyancing (i.e. sale of the deceased’s property) is £1500 + VAT

+ £273 probate fees

Conveyancing

Our conveyancing fees are fixed and determined by the type and value of the transaction. Our fees for a residential purchase start from £550 + VAT. Our fees for a sale of a residential property start from £500 + VAT. 

Disbursements which we incur on your behalf will be added as detailed below. Should any work fall outside the scope of the fixed fee, our charges are spent on a time spent basis of £225 per hour.

Our fees for dealing with a re-mortgage start from £395 + VAT.

Our fees for dealing with a transfer of equity start from £350 + VAT.
